A delegation headed by the Minister of Investment of Saudi Arabia arrived in Uzbekistan

Today, The Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Investments and Foreign Trade of Uzbekistan Sardor Umurzakov has met with the Minister of Investment of Saudi Arabia Khalid Al-Falih, in Bukhara, reports “Dunyo” IA correspondent.

According to the Ministry of Investments and Foreign Trade, at the meeting, the parties discussed the current issues of bilateral cooperation in investment, trade, economic, cultural, and humanitarian spheres.

Mutual readiness to strengthen and enhance bilateral economic ties through the implementation of new joint investment projects in Uzbekistan was indicated.

The possibility of creating a joint investment company as an effective instrument for financing and supporting joint projects was considered.

Ways of increasing the trade turnover by increasing the supply of agricultural and food industry products, finished textile and leather products, as well as building materials, were discussed.

The parties emphasized the priority of holding a meeting of Uzbekistan – Saudi Arabia Intergovernmental Commission on Trade and Economic Cooperation this year, in connection with which algorithms for further interaction in preparation for this event were determined.

Following the meeting, an agreement was reached on joint development and approval of the roadmap for bilateral cooperation in investment, trade, economic, cultural, and humanitarian spheres.
