Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan Muzaffar Madrakhimov met with the Director for Human Development, Migration, Governance and Peace of the Directorate-General for International Partnerships of the European Commission Erica Gerretsen, who arrived to participate in the Asian Women’s Forum in Samarkand, reports "Dunyo" IA correspondent.
According to Uzbekistan MFA, Erica Gerretsen highly appreciated the reforms aimed at radically improving the situation and raising the status of women in Uzbekistan.
The parties discussed issues of building up bilateral relations and noted the importance of practical enrichment of the Uzbekistan–EU agenda.
An exchange of views on upcoming joint events also took place.
