A plan for the upcoming joint events discussed and agreed in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs

Today, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan Abdulaziz Kamilov has met with a delegation of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan led by the Minister of Foreign Affairs Haneef Atmar, reports “Dunyo” IA correspondent.

According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the parties discussed the current state and prospects for further development of Uzbekistan – Afghanistan relations in various fields.

Mr. Haneef Atmar highly appreciated the participation of Uzbekistan in the restoration of the economic infrastructure of Afghanistan. Particular attention was paid to the implementation of transport, communication, energy and other infrastructure projects.

The parties noted that there is no alternative to the inter-Afghan political talks to establish long-term peace and ensure security in the country.

The Afghan side supported the holding of the international conference “Central and South Asia: Regional Connectivity. Challenges and Opportunities”.

The heads of delegations discussed and agreed on a plan for the upcoming joint events.
