A trade exhibition dedicated to the potential of pilgrimage tourism in Uzbekistan and products under the "Made in Uzbekistan" brand is currently taking place in Malaysia

From March 7 to April 6, a major trade exhibition is being held at the "1 Utama" shopping center in the state of Selangor, designed to resemble the Registan Square, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

The exhibition is organized by the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Kuala Lumpur in collaboration with the Selangor state administration and Bandar Utama City Centre. Participants include members of the Uzbekistan "Hunarmand" Association, food exporters from the country, tourism companies, and representatives of the National Air Carrier "Uzbekistan Airways".

The event features presentations on Uzbekistan’s tourism potential, information about large-scale reforms in the tourism sector in the country, and measures aimed at the accelerated development of pilgrimage tourism and the creation of favourable conditions for pilgrims.

Visitors have the opportunity to closely familiarize themselves with Uzbekistan’s historical and modern tourist centers, its rich culture, unique architecture, art, and national traditions.

Among the local population, programs such as "pilgrimage tourism", "historical and cultural tourism", "gastronomic tourism", and "Umrah+" are being widely promoted. A number of Uzbek and Malaysian travel companies are also offering Uzbek travel packages.

As part of the event, there is an exhibition and trade fair of folk crafts, applied arts, light industry, and silk products, with the participation of the republican association "Hunarmand". The sale of food products and dried fruits produced in Uzbekistan is also being carried out.
