A tribute of respect and unity

On January 30, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev laid flowers at the Monument to Islam Karimov in Tashkent.

The ceremony was attended by representatives of the Oliy Majlis chambers, the Presidential Administration, the government, the intelligentsia, and the city’s public figures.

This event reaffirmed that dedication to the people and the country will never be forgotten and will always be honored. At the initiative of Shavkat Mirziyoyev, the memory of the First President has been immortalized – January 30, his birthday, is observed annually, a scientific and educational memorial complex has been established in Tashkent, and visiting Islam Karimov’s mausoleum in Samarkand during official trips has become a respected tradition.

During the ceremony, verses from the Quran were recited, and prayers (dua) were offered. Participants reflected on the contributions and virtues of the First President, who dedicated his life to serving the nation.

Similar commemorative events were also held in Samarkand and Karshi.
