On December 21, 2020, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan Abdulaziz Kamilov has met with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Russia Sergey Lavrov, in Moscow.
According to Uzbekistan MFA, at the meeting, the parties exchanged views on priority areas of Uzbekistan – Russia multifaceted cooperation, international and regional issues.
Special attention was paid to practical aspects of the upcoming meetings at the highest levels.
The results of the presidency of the Republic of Uzbekistan in the Commonwealth of Independent States, as well as new prospects opening up in connection with the granting of observer status to Uzbekistan in the Eurasian Economic Union were discussed. Cooperation issues within the framework of other international organizations were agreed upon at the meeting.
