On December 24, 2020, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan Abdulaziz Kamilov received the newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Arab Republic of Egypt Amira Fahmy, Uzbekistan MFA reports.
Accepting copies of credentials, the Minister congratulated the Ambassador on her appointment and wished success in carrying out her responsible diplomatic mission.
Current issues of multifaceted Uzbekistan – Egypt cooperation, as well as interaction within the framework of the UN, OIC and other international organizations were discussed during the conversation.
The sides exchanged views on prospects for further activation of political, trade-economic, investment, cultural-humanitarian relations between Uzbekistan and Egypt, as well as on the schedule of the upcoming joint events at various levels.
Other issues of mutual interest were also discussed at the meeting.
