Abdulaziz Kamilov receives the Ambassador of Serbia

On 6 April 2021, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Abdulaziz Kamilov, received the newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Serbia with residence in Moscow, Miroslav Lazanski, Uzbekistan MFA reports.

Accepting the credentials, the Minister congratulated the Ambassador on his appointment to a high and responsible post and wished him success.

The parties discussed the state and prospects for the development of Uzbekistan – Serbia relations. Special attention was paid to the issues of cooperation between the parties through international organizations, primarily within the framework of the UN and the OSCE.

The importance of intensifying economic diplomacy between Uzbekistan and Serbia, establishing direct contacts between the businesspeople of the parties, and holding joint economic and investment events was noted.

The sides confirmed their mutual interest in forming and expanding the legal framework of Uzbekistan – Serbia cooperation.

The parties spoke in favor of developing ties in the cultural-humanitarian sphere, in particular, establishing cooperation in education, healthcare and tourism.

Views were also exchanged on other issues of mutual interest.
