AIMED AT OLYMPIC “GOLD”

Xusniddin Norbekov has won the gold medal in discus throw at the World Championships among athletes with disabilities. On his account also “bronze” in the shot put. They are important achievements for four years’ main start in Rio de Janeiro.

Husniddin has been required to enter the top three in the shot put. He coped with the task. Chinese athlete took the first place in the discipline, who sent a shell on 15,96 meters. Husniddin’s better result is 15,95 meters. He could compete for the “gold”.

Husniddin has had the experience of participating in the London Paralympics. Norbekov had a chance to get the medal that time. The failed first attempt knocked out Husniddin of the rut, he was a little confused. According to the regulations of the competition the athlete may be in the sector no longer than a minute. As a result, Norbekov was not even allowed to throw the disc, the allotted time is over. Before the last attempt he was the third result, 52,05 meters. But the Polish athlete crossed our hopes for a medal with his throw. In the result Polish got “bronze” and Husniddin was at the podium. However, Norbekov has acted with dignity and fought till the end. He improved his result to five meters, which was shown at the Grand Prix in Kuwait in 2011.

According to the Decree of the President “On preparation of Uzbekistan’s athletes to XXXI Summer Olympic and XV Paralympics Games in 2016 in Rio de Janeiro (Brazil)” of February 25, 2013, provides the participation of athletes in 6-12 international competitions in a year. In the pre-Olympic season, the athlete raises the load and is preparing to compete for the right to participate in the current Paralympics. Norbekov has become much more experienced, stronger, and more cold-blooded. He has improved his personal result of almost three meters, and came close to the world record.
