Ambassador of Uzbekistan meets with the Chief Election Commissioner of India

Ambassador of Uzbekistan Dilshod Akhatov has met with the Chief Election Commissioner of India Sunil Arora, reports “Dunyo” IA correspondent.

Mr. Sunil Arora is also the Chairperson of the Association of World Election Bodies for 2019-2021.

At the meeting, information was provided on the work carried out in Uzbekistan to improve the current electoral system and legislation.

Sunil Arora praised the systematic work carried out in Uzbekistan to improve the national electoral legislation and practice under generally accepted international standards and expressed full support for this process.

At the event, the parties agreed to establish cooperation between the CEC of Uzbekistan and the Election Commission of India.
