Ambassador of Uzbekistan meets with Vice-President of the German Bundestag

Ambassador of Uzbekistan Nabijon Kasimov has met with Vice-President of the German Bundestag Hans-Peter Friedrich, reports “Dunyo” IA correspondent.

The sides discussed the development of bilateral cooperation, including in political, economic and cultural-humanitarian spheres. Special attention was paid to inter-parliamentary relations and cooperation in the fight against coronavirus pandemic.

The Ambassador informed the German side in detail about ongoing reforms in various spheres of public and political life, foreign policy initiatives of Uzbekistan, favorable investment climate created in the country and measures taken to prevent the spread of coronavirus pandemic.

Welcoming the positive changes taking place in Uzbekistan as a result of a consistent course of reforms, the Vice-President of the Bundestag stressed the importance of intensifying close cooperation between the parliaments of the two countries.

Drawing attention to the fact that he is a deputy from the Federal State of Bavaria, Hans-Peter Friedrich also expressed his readiness to assist in the activation of cooperation between Uzbekistan and Bavaria, which is one of the most economically developed regions of Germany.

In particular, Bavaria can offer Uzbekistan the most modern technologies and advanced innovative developments for various sectors of the economy. In turn, Bavarian entrepreneurs could be interested in importing a wide range of goods produced in Uzbekistan, including textiles and agricultural products.

Following the meeting, the sides expressed their readiness to continue contacts in order to further enhance bilateral multifaceted cooperation.
