Ambassador of Uzbekistan presents her credentials to the President of Israel

The newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Uzbekistan Feruza Makhmudova has presented her credentials to the President of the State of Israel Reuven Rivlin, reports “Dunyo” IA correspondent.

The President of Israel emphasized that the relations between Israel and Uzbekistan people has more than 2-thousand-year history and focused on significant contribution of the community of Bukharian Jews widely represented in the country to formation and development of the State of Israel.

It was noted that Uzbekistan shows a vivid example of peaceful coexistence of representatives of different religions, cultures and national communities. The successful experience of the country deserves to be studied by many countries of the world.

The leader of Israel emphasized the generosity of Uzbekistan people, who received tens of thousands of Jewish refugees during the Second World War. According to him, people of Israel are deeply grateful to the country and will never forget this indisputable historical fact.
