The 8th meeting of the Asian Cotton Research and Development Network has kicked off within the framework of the Global Textile Days Tashkent 2019.
At the events, organized by Uzbekistan Textile Industry Association together with Iteca Exhibition, the Ministry of Investments and Foreign Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan, as well as the Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and a number of international organizations, main attention will be paid to further deepening the reform and increasing the export potential of domestic textile and sewing-knitting industry.

Scientists and experts from eight countries participating at the meeting of the Asian Cotton Research and Development Network, held by the International Cotton Advisory Committee, provided information on the latest achievements in the field and drew attention to the theoretical and practical importance of cotton growing with minimal damage in the conditions of Asian countries, bio-cotton production, seed production, breeding and irrigation systems.

The ICAC is an association of members of cotton producing, consuming and trading countries. The Committee was formed in 1939, and the Secretariat was established in 1946. There are nine members of the Secretariat originating from eight countries; all work from one office in Washington, DC.
