At a meeting in the Senate with the Ambassador of Japan, the issue of holding Uzbekistan – Japan Interparliamentary Forum in our country in 2022 was discussed

Chairman of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis Tanzila Narbayeva has met with the Ambassador of Japan Yoshinori Fujiyama, reports “Dunyo” IA correspondent.

According to the upper house of Parliament, the Ambassador praised the Presidential Elections held on October 24 and the country’s policy on cooperation with foreign countries.

The parties discussed the current state and prospects for enhancing cooperation in the political, trade, economic, investment, cultural and humanitarian spheres, ensuring gender equality.

The participants of the meeting emphasized that the Dialogue “Central Asia + Japan” serves as an important mechanism of cooperation, which is aimed at deepening partnership in trade, investment, transport and logistics, agriculture, tourism, science and education.

The parties also discussed the issues of strengthening collaboration within the framework of Uzbekistan – Japan Interparliamentary Forum. It was proposed to hold its next meeting in 2022 in Uzbekistan.
