Belarus appoints its new Ambassador to Uzbekistan

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan Bakhtiyor Saidov yesterday received the new Ambassador of Belarus, Alexander Ogorodnikov, reports a correspondent of Dunyo IA.

"Congratulate H.E. Alexander Ogorodnikov on his appointment as the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to Uzbekistan, - the head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan wrote in his telegram channel. - As we received the copies of his credentials today at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, had a discussion of the main priorities of our cooperation and plans for the near future. Wish Mr. Ambassador all the success during his new diplomatic mission in our country".

It is worth noting that Alexander Ogorodnikov, who previously served as the First Deputy Minister of Industry of Belarus, succeed Leonid Marinich, who headed the Embassy in Tashkent from 2018 to 2025.
