Belarus to host Uzbekistan Culture Days

The Minister of Culture of the Republic of Uzbekistan Ozodbek Nazarbekov met with the delegation led by the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Belarus to Uzbekistan Leonid Marinich.

The parties noted the development of cooperation between Uzbekistan and Belarus in recent years, including in culture and art.

Views were exchanged on ensuring the participation of the Uzbek side in the meeting of the ministers of culture of the SCO countries in 2024, organizing the Uzbekistan Culture Days in Belarus in 2025, signing a cooperation program for 2024-2026 in culture, strengthening ties between the film industry, and creating joint films.

Ensuring the participation of representatives of the two countries in international cultural events and regularly holding international scientific and practical conferences, workshops, festivals, and symposiums, establishing touring exchanges between theaters, and cooperation in education were also discussed.

The Uzbek side warmly extended an invitation to the talented artists of the Republic of Belarus, encouraging their participation in the upcoming Second International Dance Festival “Lazgi,” the International Forum of Maqom Art, and the International Music Festival “Sharq Taronalari,” which promise to be vibrant and inclusive celebrations of global culture.
