Chairperson of the Senate and the Ambassador of Ukraine discussed the possibilities of organizing and holding joint events aimed at strengthening the role of women in modern society

Chairperson of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis Tanzila Narbayeva has met with the Ambassador of Ukraine Nikolai Doroshenko, reports “Dunyo” IA correspondent.

According to the upper house of parliament, the parties discussed the state and prospects for the development of Uzbekistan – Ukrainian relations, including inter-parliamentary ties, as well as further strengthening of cooperation.

The Ambassador highly appreciated the results of the ongoing reforms in Uzbekistan under the leadership of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, noting that the country is open to closer international cooperation, conditions have been created for investment and economic growth.

Issues of trade, economic, cultural and humanitarian cooperation, as well as in tourism, ensuring gender equality were discussed at the meeting.

The parties discussed the possibilities of organizing and holding joint events aimed at strengthening the role of women in modern society.

Thus, it was proposed to hold a joint business forum, using the opportunities of women entrepreneurs of both countries.

At the meeting, the parties emphasized the importance of strengthening relations and bringing them to a new level.
