Chairperson of the Senate met with the President of Kyrgyzstan

On September 21 during her visit to Kyrgyzstan, Chairperson of the Senate Tanzila Narbayeva met with the President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sadyr Zhaparov, reports “Dunyo” IA correspondent.

According to the upper house of parliament, the President of Kyrgyzstan noted the importance and significance of this visit, which is taking place during the celebration of the 30th anniversary of the state independence in the country. He also congratulated the brotherly Uzbek people on the 30th anniversary of Uzbekistan’s independence.

The parties discussed the state and prospects of bilateral relations, including inter-parliamentary interaction and strengthening the legal framework for cooperation between the countries.

President Sadyr Zhaparov noted with satisfaction the achieved high level of Kyrgyzstan – Uzbekistan relations based on the principles of friendship, good neighborliness and strategic partnership. He noted that open and trusting contacts between the Heads of the two states are a solid foundation for strengthening friendly ties between Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan. In this context, he noted the importance of his state visit to Tashkent in March this year, which was of great importance for cooperation.

The President of the Kyrgyz Republic wished successful holding of the Presidential Elections in Uzbekistan. At the same time, he expressed his full support for the initiatives of the President of Uzbekistan, aimed at strengthening cooperation in Central Asia and noted their high effectiveness.

Sadyr Zhaparov highly appreciated the efforts of Uzbekistan in the implementation of gender policy, ensuring the rights of women, including the initiative of the Dialogue of Women Leaders of Central Asia. He wished success to the business forum “Dialogue of women entrepreneurs of Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan” taking place these days and expressed his readiness to support such projects in every possible way.

The Head of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of Uzbekistan Tanzila Narbayeva expressed her sincere gratitude to the Kyrgyz side for the kindness and hospitality shown. She conveyed the warmest greetings and best wishes of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, as well as full support for the reforms being carried out in Kyrgyzstan.

During the conversation, the parties noted the importance of enhancing and deepening bilateral inter-parliamentary interaction aimed at ensuring the legal framework and effective parliamentary control over the implementation of agreements at the highest level, enhancing cooperation between the regions of the two countries, including fruitful contacts between deputies of local municipal councils of border regions, the creation of all the necessary favorable conditions for close cultural and humanitarian ties and communication between broad strata of the population of the two countries.

Views were exchanged on other issues of mutual interest.
