Chairperson of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis Tanzila Narbayeva received the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the French Republic Aurélia Bouchez.
According to the upper house of parliament, it was emphasized that the talks between the leaders of the two countries during the visit of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev to France in 2018 marked a new stage of interstate cooperation.
The parties discussed issues of implementing the agreements reached at the highest level and the effective use of the institution of parliamentary control for these purposes.
At the meeting, it was noted that in recent years, thanks to the reforms carried out in Uzbekistan, positive changes have been taking place in all spheres and sectors of the country, democratic processes are being carried out.
The main attention was also paid to the development of interaction on supporting trade, economic, investment projects, tourism and culture, education, strengthening inter-parliamentary ties and ensuring gender equality.
