China is interested in enhancing trade-economic and investment cooperation with Uzbekistan's regions

The Embassy of Uzbekistan in China held a meeting with the Deputy Director-General of the Foreign Affairs Office of Shandong Province Sun Yebao to further enhance interregional cooperation with China.

Prospects for further expansion of trade-economic and investment cooperation between the regions of Uzbekistan and Shandong province, as well as cultural-humanitarian exchange between the parties, were discussed at the meeting.

It was noted that thanks to regular dialogue at the highest level, cooperation between Uzbekistan and China in all spheres is developing rapidly, strengthening the comprehensive strategic partnership between the two countries and filling it with practical content.

The Chinese side was invited to consider the possibility of joint implementation of investment projects in Uzbekistan. It was also noted that the growing requirements for the quality of fruit, vegetable and agricultural products are pushing manufacturers to introduce the latest technologies. The creation and development of chains from cultivation, production to delivery of agricultural products to the end consumer is also becoming in demand.

In addition, issues of establishing cooperation with companies engaged in the production of construction, textile, pharmaceutical, leather and footwear products and others were discussed.

The Chinese side also expressed readiness to provide educational grants, based on which Uzbek youth will be able to receive a high-quality education in leading universities of Shandong province in popular specialties in the coming academic years.
