The Hokim of Surkhandarya region, Ulugbek Qosimov, met in Termez with the leadership of Shanghai Oriental Credits Industrial Development Co. Ltd.
At the meeting, the regional governor highlighted the growing friendship and mutually beneficial cooperation between Uzbekistan and China in recent years. He informed the guests about the region’s economic potential, including agricultural and mineral resources, and the investment opportunities of the Termez Free Economic Zone, which operates near the borders with neighboring countries.
This company focuses on industrial technologies and scientific-technical innovations to introduce China’s advanced experience and developments into new markets. The company also aims to facilitate educational cooperation between Southeast University in China and Uzbekistan.
The Chinese investors expressed great interest in several promising projects in the region.
Following the discussions, they were invited to visit key sites and explore the underground and surface resources of the oasis firsthand.
