Citizens affected from flooding in Syrdarya region will receive financial assistance

More than 65 thousand out of 90 thousand people evacuated from flooded areas in Syrdarya region due to partial dam collapse in Sardoba district returned back to their homes.

Great efforts and means have been mobilized for their restoration and repair. Workers of the Ministry of Emergency Situation, Ministry of Internal Affairs and Ministry of Defense along with Uzbekistan National Guard are putting great efforts.
Besides, local people started to receive financial assistance on behalf of the President. Particularly, each out of about 4,5 thousand homeowners affected from the flood will be given 40 million soums and gifts comprising household appliances, including television sets, refrigerators, washing machines, mini-furnaces, electric kettles, and irons.
Khokimiyats, ministries and government entities, business associations and entrepreneurs are also proving their support to local communities.
Local citizens are being handed over money certificates and corresponding bank cards with fund.
