Construction and landscaping projects in Tashkent presented to the President of Uzbekistan

Yesterday, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev became familiar with the presentation of construction and landscaping projects being implemented in Tashkent, reports “Dunyo” IA correspondent.

According to the press service of the President of Uzbekistan, the Head of the state personally got acquainted with many of these projects aimed at the construction of educational, healthcare, trade, service and industrial facilities. Today’s presentation provides information about the progress of work.

In particular, on October 16 last year, the President got familiar with the construction of the Academy of the State Security Service and Temurbeklar Maktabi School. Today, these facilities have been completed, and the existing buildings of the Academy have been reconstructed. A training building, a playground for physical and military exercises, a stadium, a race track, a dormitory, and a kitchen were built for the school.

On January 31, 2020, the President laid the first stone in the foundation of the University of Geological Sciences. Since then, a large amount of work has been done here: 6 multi-storey structures have been built, 4 buildings have been reconstructed. Currently, the work is nearing completion. Along with the university, there will be branch scientific institutes, a museum of geology, a library, a dormitory and other buildings.

A new complex of buildings of Tashkent Institute of Architecture and Construction is being built in Yunusabad district. Two 5-storey academic buildings, an 8-storey administrative building and a 4-storey dormitory are being built. They are scheduled to be put into operation in October this year. At the second stage of the project, social facilities will be built for teachers of the institute, specialists of the research center and their families.

One of the largest projects in education is New Uzbekistan University, which was established by the resolution of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan on June 23, will begin training the first students in the upcoming academic year. Separate buildings of the University of World Economy and Diplomacy have been allocated for the university, their modern renovation has been carried out.

A modern campus will be built for the New Uzbekistan University. The work on the project, developed under international standards, is in the initial phase.

During a visit to the Specialized School named after Muhammad al-Khwarizmi in 2019, the President instructed to create a branch of IT Park next to it, attract young people and create broad conditions for improving their experience.

Currently, the construction of the building is being completed. It is being set up with modern equipment.

Many projects are also being implemented in the healthcare sector. In particular, a new building for the departments of cardiac surgery, transplantology and neuro-vascular surgery is being built in the Republican Scientific Center of Emergency Care. As a result, modern conditions will be created for these complex operations, and high-tech medical care will be provided to an additional 3 thousand patients per year. The construction of the new complex will be completed in September this year.

The former clinical hospital of the Ministry of Defense was built in the forties of the last century. The Head of the state visited here in 2018 and gave instructions to reconstruct and equip the hospital with modern equipment, introduce modern management. Based on this, large-scale construction and repair works are being carried out. The Central Military Clinical Hospital will start working in the renovated building in December this year.

Information was also provided on the progress of the construction of the Safe City Situation Center, trade and service centers, industrial enterprises, roads and bridges.
