Construction of China – Kyrgyzstan – Uzbekistan railway to be accelerated

An agreement on this was reached during a telephone conversation between the Minister of Transport of the Republic of Uzbekistan Elyor Ganiyev and the Minister of Transport and Roads of the Kyrgyz Republic Janat Beishenov.

According to the Ministry of Transport of the Republic of Uzbekistan, a meeting will also be held in the coming days, via videoconference, to discuss specific issues related to route selection and other technical and financial parameters for the implementation of this most important project, which is beneficial for the countries of the region.

The event is expected to be attended by competent workers of China’s transportation sector. Issues of increasing the efficiency of using the multimodal transport corridor, which is important for increasing mutual trade between the countries of Central Asia and the Asia-Pacific Region, will be discussed with representatives of China.

The ministers of transport of Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan agreed to establish uninterrupted transportation of goods in containers across China, the countries of Central Asia and the Caucasus, ensure unhindered passage of vehicles.
