Construction projects in Namangan considered

In 2017, the Head of State initiated the construction of a creative school, a park, and the Iskhokhon Ibrat Museum in Turakurgan district.

In 2021, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, during a meeting with Namangan voters, proposed creating a foreign language university named after our Jadid ancestor. This proposal also became a reality – the institute began activities in Turakurgan in 2022.

The institute has a faculty of world languages, 6 departments, and 16 areas of study. There are currently 1,523 students enrolled in the two courses. It is planned to increase the number of students in the future.

In this regard, a new university campus is being built on 5 hectares of land in New Namangan.

The President got acquainted with the progress of construction work.

An educational building with a thousand seats, a gym, and a canteen have been built. They are scheduled to be put into operation in August of this year. The following stages include the construction of a dormitory for students and another academic building.

The President also got acquainted with the presentation of New Namangan’s construction stages.

Construction of the city began two years ago. To date, multi-storey buildings with 2,764 apartments have been built, and another 648 houses are underway.

The city is designed for 200,000 people. It will include kindergartens, schools, other social institutions, and an industrial zone. The New Uzbekistan Park will also be created here.

The Head of state emphasized that the city should be convenient, safe, and ensure high-quality operation, in other words, become the embodiment of the concept of a smart city. In this regard, instructions were given for detailed development of the project and strengthening control over the quality of work.
