Cooperation Program signed to increase the role of women and youth in society

The Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan has held a meeting on increasing the role of women and youth in society and their employment.

The event was attended by the Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry A. Ikramov, Deputy Director of the Agency for Youth Affairs F.Omonov, Deputy Minister of Higher and Secondary Special Education M. Kholmukhamedov and Chairman of Hunarmand Association U. Abdullayev, as well as regional heads of partner organizations and media representatives.

Issues of preparing young people and women for professions that are in demand in the labor market, actively involving them in business activities, as well as providing assistance in finding a decent job were discussed at the meeting.

Specific tasks were also identified to motivate and train young people and women in foreign languages, professions and businesses by preparing and distributing audio-video materials.

Following the event, a document was signed on cooperation in the implementation of joint measures to fulfill the tasks.
