Cooperation prospects with Switzerland under discussion

MFA hosted a meeting of the Head of the Department for Cooperation with European Countries and EU Institutions Aybek Shakhavdinov with Ambassador of Switzerland Konstantin Obolensky, reports “Dunyo” IA correspondent.

According to the Uzbekistan MFA, the parties discussed the issues of further developing relations between Uzbekistan and Switzerland, planned joint activities at various levels, as well as agreements being worked out between the two countries.

The sides expressed their interest in intensifying trade-economic cooperation. In particular, the prospects for strengthening collaboration in the transport sector were considered.

The main attention was paid to enhancing ties in tourism, increasing the number of tourists from Switzerland to Uzbekistan.

The parties confirmed their readiness to strengthen cooperation also within the framework of international organizations.
