COP29: UNWTO supports all initiatives of Uzbekistan

As part of the UN Climate Change Conference, UN Tourism Secretary-General Zurab Pololikashvili visited Uzbekistan’s national pavilion.

The high-ranking guest noted the exclusivity of Uzbekistan’s pavilion, emphasizing the country’s unique cultural heritage and sustainable approach to environmental and climate issues. He highly appreciated the original design of the national stand, harmoniously combining national values ​​and ecological principles.

In addition, Zurab Pololikashvili said that UNWTO will continue implementing all projects and initiatives announced at the 25th session of the UNWTO General Assembly in Samarkand.

“We will actively cooperate and continue to support all initiatives proposed by President Shavkat Mirziyoyev”, the UN Tourism Secretary-General Zurab Pololikashvili emphasized.

At the meeting, the UN Tourism Secretary-General also noted that Uzbekistan, thanks to its rich heritage and large-scale environmental projects, attracts the attention of tourists and partners, strengthening its international authority.
