Deputy FM holds talks with Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs of Thailand

On July 14, 2020, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan Furkat Sidikov held talks with Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Thailand Vijavat Isarabhakdi, via videoconference, Uzbekistan MFA reports.

The current state and priority areas of Uzbekistan – Thailand relations in political, trade-economic, investment, cultural-humanitarian and other spheres were discussed during the conversation.

The parties expressed their readiness to expand political dialogue at various levels. In this regard, the schedule of upcoming joint events, in particular the next round of political consultations between Foreign Ministries of Uzbekistan and Thailand was considered.

The importance of developing trade-economic and investment relations for both sides was noted, mechanisms for further increasing the trade turnover were discussed.

Deputy Foreign Ministers noted with satisfaction the positive dynamics of relations between the two countries within the framework of international organizations and structures, similarity of positions on a number of issues on the international agenda.

Views were also exchanged on other issues of mutual interest.
