Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan and CIARS Director discussed the prospects for intensifying trade, economic and investment cooperation

Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan Furkat Sidikov held a meeting with the director of the Center of Information and Arabian-Russian Studies based in Riyadh (CIARS) Madjidom At-Turki in the format of a video conference, reports IA "Dunyo" correspondent.

According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Saudi side was informed in detail about the development of large-scale reforms in Uzbekistan in all spheres of life, which opened new opportunities for further development of multidisciplinary development of foreign countries.

It was noted that at the present stage, relations between Uzbekistan and Saudi Arabia are consistently developing, an intensive bilateral political dialogue is being maintained, and interaction is being carried out within the framework of international structures.

Special attention is paid to the prospects for intensifying trade, economic and investment relations between Uzbekistan and Saudi Arabia, and increasing the volume of mutual trade. Interest was expressed in the implementation of joint projects in the fields of petrochemistry, agriculture, health care, pharmaceuticals, IT technologies and tourism. An agreement was reached to conduct joint marketing research in the indicated areas.

The videoconference also discussed other issues of mutual interest.
