Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan met the with Head of OSCE/ODIHR Limited Referendum Observation Mission

Yesterday, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan Gayrat Fozilov met with the head of the OSCE/ODIHR Limited Referendum Observation Mission to Uzbekistan Albert Jonsson, reports “Dunyo” IA correspondent.

According to the Uzbekistan MFA, Deputy Minister congratulated Albert Jonsson on the start of the OSCE/ODIHR mission to observe the referendum on the draft Constitutional Law of the Republic of Uzbekistan “On the Constitution of the Republic of Uzbekistan”, which will be held on April 30 this year.

The parties discussed the issues related to the participation of the ODIHR observer mission during the whole process of constitutional referendum.

The sides noted fruitfulness of the activities of previous ODIHR missions, in particular, in the framework of improving the electoral legislation of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

The parties expressed mutual readiness for open and constructive interaction in the process of preparing and holding constitutional referendum.
