Deputy Prime Minister of Uzbekistan and Minister of Industry and Trade of Russia discussed the new opportunities for the development of investment and industrial cooperation

Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Investments and Foreign Trade of Uzbekistan Sardor Umurzakov has met with the Minister of Industry and Trade of Russia Denis Manturov, in Moscow, reports “Dunyo” IA correspondent.

Cooperation issues in the investment and industry, the progress of working out several promising investment projects, as well as the current state of preparation joint events were discussed at the meeting.

The parties focused on the development of promising projects in the pharmaceuticals, metallurgy, mechanical engineering, aircraft manufacturing and other sectors of the economy. The existing issues on the bilateral agenda were discussed, and further steps to enhance cooperation at the level of relevant ministries, agencies and private sector companies of the two countries were outlined.

The possibilities for deepening industrial cooperation between Uzbekistan and Russian enterprises, including in the textile industry, agriculture, logistics and other areas were considered.

The parties agreed to intensify joint work on new bilateral investment and trade agreements during the scheduled visits of delegations of ministries, agencies and regional administrations of Uzbekistan to the regions of Russia.

Issues of implementing new joint projects and programs within the framework of the established Project Office between the Ministry of Investments and Foreign Trade of Uzbekistan and the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia were discussed in detail.

Following the meeting, the parties expressed their commitment to active and systematic work in all areas of intersection of mutual interests to achieve concrete results within the scheduled time frame.
