Deputy Prime Minister of Uzbekistan meets with Advisor to the Prime Minister of Pakistan

Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Investments and Foreign Trade of Uzbekistan Sardor Umurzakov met with the Advisor to the Prime Minister of Pakistan for Commerce and Investment Abdul Razak Dawood, in Islamabad.

According to Uzbekistan MIFT, the parties discussed measures to further deepen the economic partnership, the implementation of existing agreements and issues related to preparations for the planned bilateral events with the participation of government and business circles.

The parties emphasized the favorable prerequisites for the development of investment and industrial cooperation in priority sectors. During the dialogue, promising areas for joint investment projects and interaction mechanisms were considered to attract entrepreneurs from the two countries to their implementation based on the successful experience gained.

Further steps were also discussed in preparation for the upcoming bilateral events, including the holding of the next meeting of the Intergovernmental Commission on Trade, Economic, Scientific and Technical Cooperation between Uzbekistan and Pakistan and a joint business forum.
