Ecological and tourism opportunities of Uzbekistan in the focus of Euronews

The Minister of Ecology, Environmental Protection and Climate Change of the Republic of Uzbekistan Aziz Abdukhakimov met with the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Euronews TV channel Pedro Vargas David. Chairman of the Tourism Committee Umid Shodiyev also attended the negotiations.

During the dialogue, information was presented on the environmental reforms carried out in Uzbekistan.

Practical cooperation was discussed to popularize Uzbekistan’s image by covering objective information on television channels and promoting the country’s rich tourism potential and cultural heritage internationally. Joint projects, including reports, programs, advertising, and coverage of significant events in Uzbekistan, will attract thousands of new tourists.

This year, Euronews launched a large-scale information campaign dedicated to Uzbekistan. In particular, 5 shows (with 280 broadcasts) and commercials (with 630 broadcasts) were presented. Articles were published on the Euronews website and social networks.

The prospects for further strengthening cooperation were considered, with particular attention paid to the possibility of creating a series of special programs on ecotourism and environmental initiatives in Uzbekistan. It was proposed to develop content for social networks and mobile applications that will help attract a young and active audience.

Pedro Vargas David noted that Uzbekistan is an excellent country for investment, and Euronews will continue to promote its positive image and share changes and innovations in ecology and tourism.

The parties agreed to continue discussing specific steps to implement new projects and determining mechanisms for effectively promoting Uzbekistan at the global level through the Euronews platform.
