Parliamentary delegations from member states of the Inter-Parliamentary Union are arriving in Uzbekistan to participate in the 150th Assembly.
Meetings were held at the Senate of the Oliy Majlis with the heads of foreign parliaments.
At the meeting between the Chairperson of the Senate Tanzila Narbayeva and Speaker of the Knesset of the State of Israel Amir Ohana, the role and significance of inter-parliamentary relations in the strategic partnership between Uzbekistan and Israel were discussed.
An agreement was reached to develop concrete programs for exchanging legislative experience, intensifying the activities of friendship groups, and establishing active dialogue between parliamentary committees.

At the meeting with the delegation led by the Chairman of the Senate of Pakistan, Yousaf Raza Gilani, prospects for developing inter-parliamentary relations between the two countries were discussed.
An agreement was reached to intensify the activities of the friendship groups between the two parliaments, exchange legislative experiences, establish contacts among young parliamentarians, and strengthen cooperation between parliamentary institutions.

Chairperson of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of Uzbekistan, Tanzila Narbayeva, also held a meeting with the President of the Arab Parliament, Mohammed bin Ahmed Al Yamahi. The parties discussed further strengthening of relations between the Parliament of Uzbekistan and the parliaments of Arab states, as well as expanding broad-scale cooperation, particularly in the areas of legislation, parliamentary oversight, enhancing regular dialogue, and establishing reciprocal visits between parliamentary committees.
An agreement was reached to jointly promote cultural and humanitarian cooperation, organize a dedicated forum for women leaders, sign a Memorandum of Understanding between the Oliy Majlis of Uzbekistan and the Arab Parliament, establish a friendship group, and implement projects in the social sphere.

At the meeting with Wanmuhamadnoor Matha, President of the National Assembly and Speaker of the House of Representatives of Thailand, the sides discussed inter-parliamentary cooperation between the two countries, as well as relations in the legislative sphere.
Following the meeting, an agreement was reached to develop joint initiatives aimed at further strengthening and advancing inter-parliamentary relations between Uzbekistan and Thailand.
