Heads of government of Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan discuss issues of interstate borders

A meeting of delegations from the three countries led by the prime ministers was held at the junction of the state borders of Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, and Tajikistan.

The parties noted that this meeting is being held within the framework of previously reached agreements between the heads of state of the three countries on issues of state borders to strengthen cooperation and regional integration.

This meeting was held at the junction of Fergana region of Uzbekistan, Batken region of Kyrgyzstan, and Sughd region of Tajikistan.

At the meeting, it was emphasized that the countries have great potential for strengthening cooperation in such key areas as trade, logistics, water and energy, cultural and humanitarian ties. Developing cross-border and interregional cooperation will become the engine of interaction between the three countries.

The parties noted the completion of the process of delimitation of the state border between Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan, as well as the exchange of instruments of ratification of the agreement “On Kyrgyzstan – Uzbekistan state border”.

The heads of government discussed issues related to the organization of future trilateral events.
