Uzbekistan highly appreciates the actions of China in the fight against coronavirus. In order to support efforts to eliminate this dangerous virus, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev signed a decree on February 11 this year to send humanitarian aid to the People’s Republic of China.
China is one of the close partners of Uzbekistan. Thanks to strong will and initiatives of the heads of the two states, relations between the two countries have been brought to the level of strategic partnership.
President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, addressing the President of China Xi Jinping, noted that people of Uzbekistan are in solidarity with China and will provide support in any situation. As evidence, on February 12, the Head of the state sent humanitarian aid to Hubei province.
From the first days of detection of coronavirus in Hubei province, the government of the country and people under the leadership of President Xi Jinping began to take targeted measures to combat the disease. To date, certain results have been achieved. It is also worth noting that at present the situation has entered a decisive phase.
The humanitarian aid includes disposable sterile gloves, protective overalls, filter masks and other products.
The Ministry of Emergency Situations, in cooperation with relevant ministries and agencies, has begun the formation of the second stage of humanitarian aid.
