IICAS held a roundtable discussion on prospects for practical cooperation with Central Asian countries

On January 15, International Institute for Central Asian Studies (IICAS) with the assistance of the University of World Economy and Diplomacy (UWED) held a roundtable discussion on “Prospects for practical cooperation with Central Asian countries and current issues of regional studies”, reports “Dunyo” IA correspondent.

The event was attended by representatives of scientific-expert circles, including IICAS, Institute for Strategic and Regional Studies under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Information-Analytical Center for International Relations under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, UWED.

The participants were informed about the goals of the institution, the main tasks and activities of the institute created on the initiative of the President of Uzbekistan.

The urgency and relevance of this structure, which is ready to become a platform for discussions and search for new growth points in the Central Asian region were noted at the event.

The most pressing issues that require more in-depth research were identified, algorithm and format of further interaction were determined, including a broader strengthening of scientific contacts with scientists, practitioners and experts, scientific, educational, analytical centers that are focused on Central Asian research and motivated to work together.

An agreement was reached to continue expert meetings, active exchange of information and implementation of joint projects.
