Improving the Procedure for allocating quotas in the CIS Executive Committee discussed

Within the framework of Uzbekistan’s chairmanship in the CIS on July 20, 2020, experts from CIS countries discussed issues of improving the procedure for allocating quotas, appointing and rotating Deputy Chairmen of the Executive Committee – the CIS Executive Secretary and other officials to quota positions in the CIS Executive Committee via videoconference, Uzbekistan MFA reports.

The event was attended by representatives of Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Russia, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan.

The format of further work on improving the procedure for allocating quotas in the CIS Executive Committee was considered at the event.

Following the meeting, it was decided to continue discussing this issue at the next meeting of the CIS Foreign Ministers Council.
