IN MEMORY OF SHARAF RASHIDOV

In the Tashkent house of photography, a photo exhibition has been opened in memory of Sharaf Rashidov, a prominent statesman and public figure and people’s favourite writer.

This photo exhibition was arranged in accordance with a Presidential resolution dated 27 March 2017 on celebrating the 100th birth anniversary of prominent statesman and writer Sharaf Rashidov.
Veterans, academicians, teachers and students, relatives of the writer, representatives of the wide public and journalists attended the opening ceremony of the exhibition.

It was said at the event that Sharaf Rashidov did a lifetime of work in the name of the people’s Interests. Thanks to his efforts, the Mirzachul, Sherabad and Yazyavan steppes were harnessed. The towns of Navoi, Zarafshan, Guliston and Yangiyer were created. He made a good contribution to the socio-economic development of the country.

Sharaf Rashidov left a rich heritage as a writer and translator. His works such as "Two hearts’ poem", "Kashmir’s song", "Stronger than storm", "Winners" and "Mighty wave" were included in the golden collection of national literature.

Photos of Sharaf Rashidov at official meetings and forums, among family members and friends are on display at the exhibition.
