In the first 10 months of the year, Uzbekistan – Russian trade reached 9.7 billion dollars

On December 2, the Minister of Investment, Industry, and Trade Laziz Kudratov took part in the 3rd meeting of the Working Group on increasing trade turnover between Uzbekistan and Russia via videoconference.

According to Uzbekistan MIIT, the current state was reviewed in detail at the meeting, and further steps were outlined to accelerate the implementation of existing agreements between Uzbekistan and Russia in trade, industry, energy, transport, and agriculture.

In particular, an increase in trade turnover between the two countries by 20% to $9.7 billion was noted in 10 months of this year. The range of products supplied by Uzbekistan manufacturers has increased by 68 new items.

The parties reviewed in detail the progress of implementing the joint Action Plan to increase trade turnover between Uzbekistan and Russia for 2024-2030. The main goal of the plan is to bring the mutual trade indicator to $30 billion. In this regard, the importance of developing a Complex of Measures, including cooperation in industrial production, transport, and the agro-industrial sector, was emphasized.

Following the meeting, the parties confirmed their readiness to develop multifaceted cooperation and agreed on the dates for the next meeting of the Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Cooperation before the end of this year in Moscow.
