On the state visit of the President of Kazakhstan to Uzbekistan
On September 16-17, 2017, the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev will pay a state visit to our country at the invitation of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev.
Within the framework of negotiations at the highest level, it is planned to discuss prospects of further development of cooperation between Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan in the political, trade-economic, investment, transport-communication, cultural, humanitarian and other fields, as well as exchange views on current regional and international issues.
Following the meetings in the city of Tashkent, a Joint statement of the presidents of the two countries, a number of other bilateral documents aimed at dynamic development of friendly multifaceted relations between Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan will be signed.

EXHIBITION
The largest exposition in Central Asia is being exhibited in Uzexpocentre
“Textile equipment and technologies – “CAITME 2017” and “Textile industry – Textile Expo Uzbekistan 2017” international exhibitions have started in Uzexpocentre.
The events are organized by “ITE-Uzbekistan” International Exhibition Company and ITE Group of Companies (Great Britain) with support of the Ministry of Foreign Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan, “Uzbekyengilsanoat” JSC, Chamber of Commerce and Industry, “Osiyo ramzi” Association of Fashion Designers of Uzbekistan.
The light industry is a multifaceted and innovatively attractive branch of our economy. Today, broad-scale activity is being held in this direction. In accordance with the Decree of the First President of our country Islam Karimov “On the Program of measures of ensuring structural transformation, modernization and diversification of production for 2015-2019” of March 4, 2015, it is planned to implement 77 major investment projects in the industry with attraction of direct investments exceeding 900 million dollars. It is envisaged to increase the production capacity of yarn dyeing – 3 times, knitted fabric – 1,5 times, ready fabrics – 2 times, sewing and knitwear – 3 times, hosiery – 2 times. Implementation of these projects will facilitate creating of more than 40 thousand workplaces.
The wide geography and a large number of exhibitors at “Textile equipment and technologies – “CAITME 2017” and “Textile industry – Textile Expo Uzbekistan 2017” international exhibitions turn this forum into the largest exposition in the CIS and Central Asia. So, this year, more than 350 companies from 22 countries such as Austria, Belarus, Belgium, China, Czech Republic, France, Germany, Great Britain, India, Italy, Japan, Kazakhstan, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Romania, Russia, South Korea, Spain, Switzerland, Turkey, the USA and Uzbekistan are representing their modern technologies and products.
The pavilion of “Textile equipment and technologies – “CAITME 2017” exhibition is full of visitors, contributing not only to informing the world community about large-scale reforms implemented in the light industry of our country, but also became a convenient platform for acquaintance of domestic business entities with the latest technologies of well-known foreign companies, establishing cooperation with leading foreign manufacturers and exchanging experience with foreign experts. Spinning equipment, winding machines, textile, sewing, dyeing and finishing equipment, weaving machines, stuffing machines, hosiery machines, compressors, sewing needles, quality control systems, chemicals, paints and other necessary equipment for the production of textile products are presented in the sections of the exhibition.
70 foreign companies such as “ZSK Stickmaschinen ABM” and “Anlagenbau und Maschinentechnik Gmbh” (Germany), “Navis Tubtex” (USA), “Elgi Ultra”, “Sabar Spinmatic” (India), “Effe Makine”, “Ay Yildiz”, “Fuzyon”, “Inter Tekstil” (Turkey), “Detel” (Russia) and others are representing their products at this exhibition.
There are even more Italian entrepreneurs – traditional participants of the event this year. Representatives of 17 companies are taking part at the national stand of Italy that is organized by the Institute for Foreign Trade of Italy and the Association of Textile Machinery of Italy.
Domestic companies are also actively taking part at the exhibitions. This is due to the growing interest of foreign manufacturers to our country, strengthening of healthy competition between market participants.
Permanent exhibitors are presenting their latest developments and technologies. This suggests that foreign companies are showing increasing interest in expanding their presence in the market of our country.
High-quality export-oriented textile products of domestic manufacturers are traditionally represented at the stands of “Textile industry – Textile Expo Uzbekistan 2017” exhibition. Such companies as “Uztex Group”, “Osborn Textile”, “Alkim Tekstil”, “Biryuza Group”, “Urganch Bakhmal”, “Namangan Momiq Sochiqlari”, “Sedat Triko”, which have long proven themselves both in the domestic and foreign markets, are taking part at the exhibition. They are demonstrating yarn, knitted fabric, ready-made garments, knitwear and other products.
According to the participants, “Textile equipment and technologies – “CAITME 2017” and “Textile industry – Textile Expo Uzbekistan 2017” international exhibitions will become a favorable platform for conducting negotiations, as well as will also strengthen practical cooperation and further development of light industry in Uzbekistan.

INTERNATIONAL COOPERATION
Meeting with the Ambassador of Kyrgyzstan
On September 13, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan Abdulaziz Kamilov received the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kyrgyz Republic Daniyar Sydykov.
At the meeting, practical issues of implementing the agreements reached during the state visit of the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev on September 5-6, 2017 in Kyrgyzstan and the negotiations at the highest level, were discussed.

Uzbekistan national team won 31 medals
The IX Asian Swimming Championship was held in Tashkent.
Member of the national team of our country Khurshidjon Tursunov outstripped all competitors in the freestyle at a distance of 50 meters and won the Asian championship. Natalia Kritinina and Alena Vasilyeva won bronze medals in the women’s competition at this distance. Our team took the first place in the men’s relay at this distance.
Artem Kozlyuk won a silver medal in swimming butterfly stroke at a distance of 200 meters, Odilbek Yusupov and Maftunabonu Tukhtasinova took the third place in backstroke swimming at a distance of 100 meters.
At the Asian Swimming Championship, Uzbekistan national team won 13 gold, 7 silver and 11 bronze medals – a total of 31 medals and took the second place in the team event.
On the next day of the Asian Swimming Championship, the women’s team of Uzbekistan played for a draw – 7:7 – with the team of Kazakhstan.

Umid Ahmadjonov elected as President of UFF
Umid Ahmadjonov was elected President of the Uzbekistan Football Federation (UFF) on 12 September 2017.
Umid Ahmadjonov was elected as the head of the UFU during the Federation’s reporting and election conference.
He is vice-president of the football club Pakhtakor, vice-president of the National Olympic Committee and deputy chairman of the National Paralympic Association.
At the post of the President of the UFF, Umid Ahmadjonov replaced Mirabror Usmanov.
First Deputy Prime Minister of Uzbekistan and head of Uzbekistan Temir Yollari Achilbay Ramatov became the first vice-president of UFF.
Minister of Interior Affairs of Uzbekistan Pulat Bobojonov was elected as Vice-President of the Federation. Shoakram Israilov, rector of the Uzbek State Institute of Physical Education, also became Vice-President of the UFF.
