Investment Promotion Agency of the Ministry of Investments and Foreign Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan hosted a meeting with Deputy Director General of the Chinese company Tulufan Xindian Ganta Li Qizhi.

The company is in the 3rd place in production of building cement in China, carries out activities for development of infrastructure, reconstruction and equipping roads.

Li Qizhi noted that in Uzbekistan it is necessary to improve road lighting on regional routes and introduce modern technologies. The company is interested in implementing a project to establish a production line for manufacturing lighting equipment for highways in Uzbekistan. The Chinese side is ready to allocate almost seven million dollars.

Agency’s specialists became interested in the features of the investment project. Khorezm region was determined as the preliminary territory for the implementation of the production line, taking into account the existing Khazarasp free economic zone.

On the production site of the FEZ, a wide range of goods, including construction materials, is planned to be produced.

At the meeting, information was provided on the existing benefits and preferences in the country, the conditions created for investors, and the peculiarities of conducting business projects on FEZ sites.

Following the meeting, the guest noted that the leadership of the Chinese company Tulufan Xindian Ganta plans to visit Uzbekistan in March to finally resolve issues related to the implementation of the project. It is planned to sign a Memorandum of Understanding and Cooperation between the Tulufan Xindian Ganta company and Khorezm regional khokimiyat.
