The capital of Uzbekistan concluded AFC Futsal Championship. As a result our team took the 2nd place, losing only in the final to the Iranian national team with a minimum difference of 2:1. The match was held in a very hard struggle, and the Uzbek team was the only team of the tournament who was able to provide decent resistance to the Iranian futsal players.
At the post-match press conference, head coach of Iran Mohammed Nazem pointed out that only game with the team of Uzbekistan showed the presence of a worthy opponent for them. He stressed that our team has a good chance of further progress and will be able to raise the prestige of the Asian futsal.
In turn, the Spanish instructor of our national team, Jose Maria Pazos Mendos said that his team was not able to show a perfect game. According to him, the whole team was disappointed with the result, but the silver medals of the continental championship are the same good result. The head coach of Uzbek team responded very positively about the chances of our players on the world futsal championship.
Thus, the Uzbek athletes are strongest in four Asian continent countries, and they will be participating in the World futsal championship in Bogota (Colombia) in September and October 2016.
