Leaders of Uzbekistan, Tajikistan discuss regional cooperation

On July 5, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon had a telephone conversation.

The heads of state discussed the current issues of the bilateral collaboration agenda and exchanged views on regional interaction aspects.

The main attention was paid to the situation in the region in connection with the deterioration of the situation and the increase in tension in the Afghan direction. The importance was noted for continuing close interdepartmental coordination.

The Presidents considered the schedule of the upcoming events at the highest level, including the holding of the next Consultative Meeting of Central Asian Leaders.
