Meeting with the State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Hungary

On 21 June 2021, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan Gayrat Fazilov met with the State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Hungary Orsolya Pacsay-Tomassich, Uzbekistan MFA reports.

The parties discussed the current issues of the Uzbekistan-Hungary agenda.

The progress of the implementation of the agreements reached during the negotiations between the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and the Prime Minister of Hungary Viktor Orban was considered.

The main attention was paid to the development of cooperation between the two countries in the educational sphere. The parties expressed interest in enhancing cooperation between higher education institutions, opening branches of leading Hungarian universities in Uzbekistan, implementing joint research projects and advanced training programs.

Views were also exchanged on other issues of mutual interest.
