Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Furkat Sidikov has met with the Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates to Uzbekistan Saeed Al Qamzi.
The parties discussed the current issues of cooperation, including the implementation of the agreements reached following the visit of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev to the UAE in March 2019, as well as Uzbekistan – UAE cooperation within the framework of international organizations.
The sides emphasized their mutual interest in the early implementation of joint projects in the energy sector, enhancing trade and economic ties, deepening investment cooperation, intensifying tourist exchange.
The main attention was paid to the participation of the UAE delegation at a High-Level International Conference “Central and South Asia: Regional Connectivity. Challenges and Opportunities” to be held on 15-16 July in Tashkent.
