MIFT signs another investment agreement with Masdar

The Ministry of Investments and Foreign Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan signed an investment agreement with UAE’s Masdar company, according to which the latter will ensure the design, financing, construction and operation of a wind power station in Navoi region.

This project is the second major project implemented by Masdar in Uzbekistan. In October last year, Masdar won tenders for construction of a 100 MW solar power plant in Navoi region on the basis of a public-private partnership. Corresponding agreements were signed in January 2020.

Construction work will start before the end of this year with the commissioning of the first stage of generating capacities (up to 250 MW) in mid-2022 and all capacities by the end of 2023.
