Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan received the newly appointed Ambassador of Bangladesh

Today, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan Abdulaziz Kamilov received the newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh, Mohammad Jahangir Alam, reports “Dunyo” IA correspondent with reference to MFA.

Accepting copies of his credentials, the Minister congratulated the Ambassador on his appointment and wished him success in strengthening mutually beneficial cooperation between the two countries.

The current state and prospects for development of bilateral relations were discussed during the conversation.

It was noted that the Uzbek side attaches particular importance to further strengthening cooperation with Bangladesh in light industry, tourism and education. The parties expressed their readiness to implement specific projects in these areas.

Special attention was paid to intensification of bilateral trade-economic relations. The urgency of increasing the volume and expanding the range of mutual trade turnover was emphasized.

The sides exchanged views on the upcoming joint events at various levels.

Other issues of mutual interest were also discussed at the meeting.
