Ministers of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan in Nur-Sultan discussed the key aspects of development relations and plans for further expansion of multifaceted cooperation

Yesterday, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan Abdulaziz Kamilov met with Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan Mukhtar Tileuberdi, in Nur-Sultan, reports “Dunyo” IA correspondent.

According to Uzbekistan MFA, the key aspects of development of Uzbekistan – Kazakhstan relations were discussed and plans for further expansion of multifaceted cooperation were outlined at the event.

Views were exchanged on the schedule of the upcoming meetings at various levels in the political dialogue, inter-parliamentary relations, cultural-humanitarian exchanges and tourism. The parties focused on the importance of effective implementation of trade-economic and transport-transit potential of the parties, development of direct contacts between entities and activation of relations between border regions.

The current situation in Central Asia and progress achieved in a comprehensive strengthening of regional cooperation were discussed. The parties also noted that there are favorable opportunities for increasing cooperation with other regions of the world through the implementation of infrastructure and transport-communication projects.

The Kazakh side is invited to the high-level International Conference “Central and South Asia: Regional Connectivity. Challenges and Opportunities”, to be held this year in Tashkent.
